You can use secure commands to unlock a door, unlock a garage door, or deactivate the panel. A four-digit PIN is used to safeguard sensitive commands as an additional measure of protection. When the skill is enabled, this PIN is generated.
Note: You are free to restrict access throughout the account connection procedure and secure commands are not necessary to be enabled.
Using the command "secure" PIN:
Note: Reciting the PIN number digit by digit will get the best results (e.g., "1-2-3-4" instead of "12-34").
The command can be used in conjunction with this PIN:
Say, "Alexa, ask Alarm.com to disarm with 1-2-3-4"
Say, "Alexa, tell Alarm.com to unlock the door with 1-2-3-4"
Say, "Alexa, tell Alarm.com to open the garage door with 1-2-3-4"
In response to a follow-up question from Alexa, you can additionally say:
Say, "Alexa, ask Alarm.com to disarm."
Alexa will respond: "What is your PIN?"
Say, "1-2-3-4"
Enabling Secure Commands:
Creating the PIN when Alexa has already connected the Alarm.com skill:
Note: The Alarm.com skill will need to be removed and then enabled again in order to prompt for creating a PIN if it was linked before the secure command was made available.
Open the Amazon Alexa app on your mobile device.
TAP icon with Three Dashes
Tap Skills & Games.
In the search bar, enter Alarm.com.
Tap Alarm.com.
Tap Disable on the skill page.

Type in a four-digit PIN and click Submit.
Your account is now linked. Tap in the top left and begin interacting with Alarm.com through Amazon Alexa.
